Meet the Newest Member of the CEI Team

On April 1, with great joy and anticipation, we welcomed Alexys Salo to CEI to serve as our Marketing and Communications Associate. The decision to hire someone was long-discussed and carefully planned. In the end, the Board recognized how crucial it is for the future of CEI to expand our base of volunteers and supporters. Bringing Alexys on board represents our deep commitment not just to be here today as we are, but to be here for the long haul in ways we can’t yet imagine.

Without further ado, here is Alexys in her own words…

I am thrilled to join Chester Eastside, Inc. as the new Marketing and Communications Associate. From the moment I met with the team, it was clear how deeply CEI is connected to the community, and I’m truly grateful to now be part of that work.

My background is in community and nonprofit spaces, where I’ve had the privilege to support families, organize events, and help bring the stories behind the work to life. As a mom, I also deeply understand the importance of strong, supportive communities and the impact they have on families.

I believe that compelling communication is about more than sharing information but rather it’s about building relationships and creating a genuine sense of connection. I’m excited to get to know the community, connect with many of you, and help highlight all of the amazing work happening at CEI.
