Open to Meet Clifford!

No Foolin’!

Even as this is a day to get fooled, the news we bring is not devious or designed to deceive. Today is the opening day of the DELCO Gives campaign that culminates on May 7.

As announced previously, our campaign’s goal is to raise $25,000 for the purchase of a cargo van, which will enable us to increase the amount of food donations we receive by picking them up. It will increase our efficiency by consolidating the number of trips needed to pick up donations. In short, we will be able to meet the continually rising needs in our feeding programs, and do so with greater variety and more fresh produce.

The good news is that we’ve identified a particular van that, once we raise the funds, we will bring home! Perhaps it is no more exciting to anyone than Jason Kea, our staff person whose role is to help us keep the pantry fully stocked…

Given its notable hue and capacity for hard work, it has already received the nickname Clifford (remember the big red dog?).

If you are so moved, your participation and contribution to help us more fully serve the food insecure people we serve is deeply appreciated – and very simple! Simply click on the picture below and it will deliver you to our DELCO Gives portal where you can make a safe and secure gift. You can also use the donate button below and designate your contribution by putting “Clifford” on the memo line. Thank you in advance and we look forward to sharing news of success!

Speaking of Feeding,,,

here is a graph reporting the volume of meals and individuals we have served from 2022-2026. You can click on the image to see it in more detail.

It’s That Time of Year!

Each year at this time we produce a report on the previous year’s highlights, accomplishments, challenges, and successes. So, here it is – the CEI 2025 Annual Report. Click on the picture below to read…and rejoice!

Peeking Ahead…

Planning for the CEI annual summer camp is in full swing. We are dreaming of expanding the length of the camp and increasing the enrollment. As always, we can’t make improvements in our programs without your support…
