Although it has gone through many changes, for nearly thirty years Chester Eastside has provided programming for students each day after school. Today, the After-School Program serves 24 students in grades 1-5 every school day from 3:00-6:00 PM, and begins with a healthy and nutritious meal.

Our partners Girls First provide Teaching Artists who lead our students with active lessons in music, dance, drama, and visual arts. The other part of the program focuses on literacy. Volunteer tutors from the local universities and communities spend individual time with students helping them with their lessons and homework.

Registration begins at the end of August each year, and there is no cost for the program.
